It's tough for Australia to break new ground.

The highest peaks have long been mastered.

This is the squad that has won seven Cricket World Cups, along with six more T20 titles, and once went 1,294 days without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, the ones sought by the peak baggers, are what's still available for a squad that has won it all.

It needed as late as Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase over 300, reclaiming their record for the highest in the women's 50-over format, is, frankly, a tribute to the bowling attack that have represented Australia over the past 50 years.

That comment will be the last Australia's opponents at this championship should hear.

Over the past five days a feeling they will succeed regardless of circumstances has grown stronger - this triumph succeeding win against Pakistan by 107 run margin despite sitting at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a meeting with traditional opponents England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final place may well be secure.
